The National Center for Cancer Research at the University of Baghdad held an awareness scientific seminar entitled “Headaches: Types, Causes, and How to Manage Them.” The seminar was presented by Lecturer Dr. Azal Hammoudi Jumaa and attended by a number of researchers and staff members.
During the seminar, Dr. Azal reviewed the different types of headaches, emphasizing that a headache is not a disease in itself, but rather a symptom of various physical or psychological conditions that may vary in severity and seriousness.
The seminar addressed the following types and regions of headaches:
Migraine (Unilateral Headache)
Headache due to High Blood Pressure
Tension Headache (Resulting from Psychological or Physical Stress)
Cluster Headache
Headache due to Sinusitis
General Headache (Affecting the Whole Head)

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle
Avoiding excessive psychological stress
Drinking adequate amounts of water
Maintaining regular sleep patterns
Consulting a physician in cases of recurring headaches or if unusual symptoms accompany the headache
